PMK Save the Future Generation Uganda is a Community Based Organization in the community of Kazo Central Zone-Wakiso district-Uganda that is working hand-in-hand with the community people and through partnerships with various Non-Government Organizations in and outside Uganda and Africa to ensure that people in are accessing their various kinds of rights.
Changing the future is not an easy task to go on with but at PMK save the Future Generation with the help of Local and International Volunteers plus organizations like Kiyita family Alliance for Development, Nurture Africa, and others, we have tried and never lost hope to totally change Uganda.
We still lack a number of things at the organization in order to continue with our work. We have a number of program/projects that have to be implemented in the community which are developmental and are really needed to the community of Wakiso district.
So if you can join us at PMK Save the Future Generation Uganda, you are assured that your power and support to the organization is utilized. Remember our motto please "Together we can Change the Future" which means one person may fail to do what is required but together, you and I can do what is necessary to ensure that the world's future is changing.
August 25, 2012: Peter Lund has returned from his journey around Lake Victoria. On this day in Kazo, we held a welcome back event involving numerous partner organizations and their activities, speeches by Nansana town Councilors, and a bicycle race. We expect that the publicity we've raised will help us to gain support for other projects in the future!
July 12, 2012: Our international volunteer and cyclist Peter Lund is preparing to leave on his fund-raising track around Lake Victoria on July 20th. Kampala Cycling Club has helped out by tuning up Peter's bicycle, and we continue to search for support in this venture. Some good money has been raised by Peter from his friends back home, but we are looking for local support from Ugandans.
June 22, 2012: PMKSFG has decided to implement it's newest empowerment project: a community bank system! The project, called Tweyambe Micro Save, will provide ultra-low interest loans to the entrepreneurial community members of Kazo.This service, combined with savings accounts and business advise, the community's private business sector will be given a much needed boost. More Information can be found in the Programs tab. Fund raising and publicity projects have been initiated by PMKSFG's staff to gather capitol so we may start Tweyambe Micro Save within a few months.
